RAC ticket holders to get bedroll in AC coaches

RAC ticket holders to get bedroll in AC coaches

In a move aimed at enhancing passenger comfort, Indian Railways has announced a significant change for travelers with RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) confirmed tickets. Previously, passengers with RAC status were provided side lower berths without bedroll facilities, posing inconvenience during the journey.

Recognizing this, the Railway Board has issued a directive to all zones, instructing them to reinstate the provision of complete bedroll kits, including linen and blankets, for RAC ticket holders traveling in AC coaches. The letter emphasizes that the fare for the bedroll kit will be collected along with the ticket, making this facility accessible to RAC passengers in the same class.
